Mr. Thomas is a Principal with The Claro Group's Healthcare practice and is based
out of our Houston, Texas office. He specializes in healthcare performance improvement
consulting. He has over eleven years experience consulting with healthcare providers
to improve bottom-line performance, particularly within the revenue cycle. His experience
includes full revenue cycle turnaround consulting, patient access, health information
management, and billing and collections redesign, supply chain improvement, cash
acceleration, point of service collections, bad debt portfolio purchasing, information
systems implementation, billing backlog reduction, surgery capacity management,
and organizational strategic design.
Prior to joining The Claro Group, Eric was a Vice President with Encore Capital
Group, Inc. leading strategic partnerships for their national healthcare practice.
Prior to Encore, Eric was a Vice President and Market Leader at McKesson Corporation,
where he led business development initiatives for their Business Performance Solutions
Consulting Practice in the Southwest US. In addition, Eric served as an Engagement
Manager in the healthcare consulting practices at Deloitte Consulting, LLP and at
Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, US LLP.
Mr. Thomas received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University
of Oklahoma and a Masters of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration
and Finance from Oklahoma City University.
