The Claro Group, LLC is proud to announce that Jeff Phillips has joined our Insurance Claims Practice as a Principal in our Los Angeles office. Jeff's expertise includes all aspects of first-party insurance claim processes, from policy analysis to settlement support and negotiations. He has over 17 years of experience in the commercial property insurance industry specializing in large property, business interruption and extra expense claims. Jeff has successfully leveraged his engineering background and eight years prior experience as an insurance claims adjuster to help level the playing field for policyholders and to develop successful strategies for resolving complex coverage and loss measurement issues. During his career, Jeff has managed many $100 million plus claims and has helped recover over $1 billion in insurance settlements for policyholder clients.

Jeff has managed and helped to resolve hundreds of insurance claims including some of the largest claims resulting from:

• The September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks
• The Buncefield Oil Depot explosion
• Hurricanes Fabian, Andrew, Iniki, Georges, Floyd, and Lenny, as well as all four Florida hurricanes in 2004 and Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma in 2005
• The Northridge Earthquake, the Los Angeles Riots, and the Fort Worth Tornado

Prior to joining The Claro Group, Jeff led the Insurance Claim Recovery practice for AlixPartners, and prior to that, Jeff assisted policyholders with complex claims at Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen.
