The Claro Group's Houston Office volunteers at Yellowstone Academy's end of the
school year activities
May 24, 2007
Volunteers from The Claro Group's Houston office attended Yellowstone Academy's
end of the school year activities to help students of all grade levels celebrate
the beginning of their summer break by orchestrating games and activities for all
the children to participate in. Yellowstone is a private school established on the
premise that, through education and intensive intervention, children living in poverty
can transcend their circumstances and grow up to become responsible, productive
adults. Yellowstone represents a comprehensive approach to addressing the problems
caused by the cycle of illegitimacy, illiteracy and dependency that plague families
in poverty. The goal is to reach children in circumstances that create a high probability
of life dysfunction and to provide for them the environment and tools that will
lead to a high probability of life success. Yellowstone serves 192 students in pre-K,
Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade, with a long-term plan to add one grade level
per year through eighth grade.
