The Claro Group, a financial advisory and management consulting firm, has announced the addition of three senior energy litigation consulting professionals in Houston to its Disputes, Claims and Investigations (DCI) consulting practice.
Managing Director Wayne Wilson joins The Claro Group DCI team, along with Director Casey Ballard and Senior Manager Paul Brooks. Collectively, they bring more than 50 years of experience to DCI’s six-person team of professionals and administrative support specializing in energy litigation consulting. The team provides dispute consulting services and expert witness testimony to energy clients in domestic litigation/arbitration and international arbitration matters. They also handle cases from wellhead to Wall Street on matters ranging from drilling and development delays to SEC investigations. Professionals in the group have worked in all aspects of the oil and gas industry, including exploration and production, transportation, trading, petrochemicals, olefins, and processing and refining.
“The addition of Wayne, Casey and Paul represents Claro’s commitment to hiring high-quality consulting experts with deep experience across a number of industries to support our clients in resolving complex financial disputes,” said George Hansen, Managing Director of The Claro Group’s DCI Practice. “They bring more than five decades of experience to The Claro Group, and that’s value-added experience they’ll pass on to our clients.”
Wilson has 21 years of experience consulting in the energy industry. His testimony has been accepted by courts at the international, federal, and state levels and by arbitration tribunals across the globe. Wilson has provided consulting services and expert testimony to international clients in the areas of finance, valuation, organizational management, accounting issues, statistics and risk management.
Ballard has provided consulting services to the energy industry for 17 years. She has provided expert testimony in state court and both domestic and international arbitration. Her more recent cases vary from an Appalachian gas processing contract dispute to a West African cost recovery matter, and also include a dispute between a gas marketer and its municipal client. She is a CPA, accredited in business valuation (ABV).
Brooks has provided financial consulting services for 15 years, primarily to the energy industry. He has assisted clients with analysis and the presentation of damages calculations and forensic investigations. This has included research, valuation and modeling analyses, and the preparation of materials related to deposition testimony and expert reports in the areas of domestic litigation and international arbitration.
